QA Lead

WHO ARE YOU?

• You possess extensive expertise in testing various applications, services and user interfaces
• You have substantial experience in test automation and creating repeatable, maintainable, automated test suites
• You show a deep understanding of test driven development, software development lifecycle and user interface design
• You hold considerable knowledge of software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
• You are familiar with various defect management systems

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Establish and evolve formal QA processes
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met
• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally
• Create test plans and strategies, review and re-evaluate the test strategies to adjust for new information, changing risks, shifting priorities and schedules
• Oversee testing of software features and quality reviews of various applications, as well as implementation and execution of functional, regression and acceptance test
• Assist in test environment setup/teardown, test automation and exploratory testing
• Provide suitable solutions for issues/errors based on the understanding of the system and client business processes
• Coach less experienced colleagues by helping them to make decisions, solve problems, manage meetings and set goals
• Delegate and assign testing responsibilities to team members, while providing them with feedback on testing-related tasks
• Assist in formulating QA standards and best practices, organizational policies and strategic plans
• Assist upper management in setting the direction for quality assurance within the organization
• Assist in recruiting new staff, conducting interviews and evaluating candidates
