We are looking for a Product Owner for our Operations Engineering team in Zagreb.

Job description

Adcubum offers a core system for insurance companies (Syrius). The solution is operated based on OpenShift On-Premise or in the cloud.

As our Product Owner for the Operations Engineering team, you work very closely with your team, the Product Manager Cloud and the architects of the Platform unit.

Together with them, you are responsible for:

  • Enhancing the overall experience of deploying and operating Adcubum Syrius on OpenShift
  • Optimizing the deployment and management of Syrius on OpenShift
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including post-launch monitoring, optimization, and maintenance
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data analytics, and sales to deliver outstanding products
  • Define and prioritize product backlog, aligning with business goals and customer needs
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team
  • Implementation planning based on the Adcubum planning framework (Scaled Agile)

Your tasks

  • Foster the development of essential skills and knowledge among our customers within and outside our organization
  • Create user stories and acceptance criteria for product features, ensuring the engineering team has a clear understanding of expectations
  • Collaborate closely with scrum masters and architects at different levels
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, balancing both internal and external needs
  • Creation of solution designs for new product components
  • Coordination of the cross-team implementation of development projects as initiative owner
  • Preparation of "make or buy" decisions

Our requirements

  • Studies in computer science or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of experience in software operation or DevOps environment
  • Good understanding of Cloud and Cloud Native design principles
  • Demonstrated experience in agile methodologies and working with cross-functional teams, preferably in an operations engineering context
  • Having experienced and living the DevOps culture is a very strong plus
  • Experience with the development and operation of distributed business applications in the cloud environment
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and its ecosystem, as well as experience working with containerization
  • Good knowledge of English to coordinate with English-speaking colleagues
  • Communicative and customer-oriented personality with a high sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work at different levels of abstraction and strong analytical, communicative, and organizational leadership skills
  • You act proactively in complex and challenging situations and also like to look for pragmatic solutions
  • Fluent in German is a plus
