Minimalne kvalifikacije

  • Min. 4 years of professional web backend development experience, preferably with technologies such as Java/Scala/Kotlin, Typescript/JavaScript, GoLang, Python, or similar; min. 2 years of Node.js coding experience.
  • Previous experience as a Backend Team Lead / Lead Backend Developer is preferred.
  • Excellent experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with relational and document-based databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB).
  • Experience with monolith and serverless architectures.
  • Great understanding of asynchronous programming.
  • Love of learning and teamwork.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Očekivanja od tebe na ovoj poziciji

What you'll do

  • Strategic planning & organization - lead and grow a team of Backend Developers who are working on international software projects and primarily using Node tech stack; support them in task prioritization and organization, project estimations, effort valuation, and whenever they have technical dilemmas.
  • Employee development & satisfaction - manage the development of your team through regular feedback sessions, and evaluations, and by providing coaching and mentoring support. Help the management identify and meet your team’s educational/coaching needs.
  • New technology - work with CTO on backend technology research, development, and education.
  • Backend web development - work on various web projects. The tech stack we usually use (this is not set in stone) is Node and Express/Nest, Joi Input validation, Swagger (we prefer it for documenting endpoints), Firebase, and PostgreSQL / MySQL or MongoDB; we are not vendor locked but our main service provider for implementation and running of backends and databases is AWS.
  • Recruitment - work with CTO and Recruitment team on the hiring of the new Backend Developers; participate in the selection process and help us decide whom to hire.
  • Onboarding & mentorship - support the HR team with onboarding new Backend Developers and participate in their mentoring.
  • Employer branding - help us to continue growing the culture that values teamwork, transparent feedback, initiative, and growth.
  • Business development - participate in sales calls with potential clients.
  • Last but not least, ask important questions, speak candidly, and try to move the needle on your projects every single day. ;)
