IBM iX – Experience the Human Factor.

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Frontend Developer, with a strong focus on modern JavaScript frameworks, to join our team to drive the development and implementation of innovative web applications. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams – including designers and backend engineers – to deliver a seamless user experience and guide the team in adopting best practices in modern frontend development. You will mentor junior developers, make key technical decisions, and play a crucial role in shaping both the product and the development process.

Ready to take on a new challenge and thrive in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment? We are looking for you to join our team as soon as possible in full-time (40 hours per week) – ideally in Varaždin/Zagreb/Osijek and partially home-office (3d per week).

Minimalne kvalifikacije

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Frontend Development, with a strong focus on modern JavaScript frameworks
• You are ideally already having experiences with the pre-sales process, facilitating and providing technical guidance in a discovery phase, during workshops etc.
• You have solid knowledge of JavaScript, Type Script, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS (including semantic markup, accessibility, cascade, modular styles, Atomic Design, BEM, Pattern Lab)
• You have extensive hands-on experience with JS Frameworks like React.js and Angular, while familiarity with Vue.js is a plus
• You show a good understanding of state management libraries (e.g., Redux, NgRx, or similar)
• You can communicate and present clearly and openly, both with internal and external stakeholders
• You have excellent communication skills in Croatian and English; knowledge of German is a plus

• You architect and implement clean, maintainable, and efficient frontend code
• You collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver a seamless user experience
• You work with RESTful APIs and integrate frontend applications with backend services
• You ensure a11y, security, and performance optimization across all applications
• You support sales processes and contribute to responding to RFPs when needed
• You do technical consulting and trainings for in-house teams as well as customers
• You review codes, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers
• You drive the adoption of best practices in frontend development, including component reusability, state management, and testing
