- a university degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, or related fields - understanding of data analytics and statistics, good understanding of IT, an understanding of machine learning is a plus - experience working with data analysis with a business perspective (experience in managing data-oriented teams is a plus) - experience with data wrangling - technical background and technical skills - excellent knowledge of SQL, experience with relational databases and one or more databases like Hadoop, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, etc. - good ETL scripting and programming skills, such as Python, R, or Scala, are a plus - familiarity with data science practices and popular ML methods is a plus - experience in visualizing data using visual analytics tools (e.g., with Qlik Sense, Tableau, Data Studio) - ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment - understanding of safety, security, privacy, and legal issues relevant to digital products - strong communication and data presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate project status and results to a broad range of audiences, including leadership and technical developers - familiarity with agile product organizations - excellent command of written and spoken English - independent and goal-driven personality - above-average decision-making and problem-solving skills - a high sense of urgency and attention to detail - a pragmatic problem solver and out-of-the-box analytical thinker - experience working with project management tools, such as JIRA - ability to synthesize information and prioritize business goals
